It looks like players will get to explore a new version of San Andreas in Grand Theft Auto V.
Publisher Rockstar has finally unveiled the first preview of the upcoming game. It appears to take place in a redesigned version of the Southern California-inspired region of San Andreas, which players first explored in the 2004 PS2 game. GTA V promises plenty of gritty and scenic locales, along with the same level of criminal activity and fast driving that players have come to expect from the series. There’s still no word on a release date or list of platforms, but we’ll bring you more details as they develop.
If you want to hit the streets of Liberty City, a tenth anniversary edition of Grand Theft Auto III will launch on the iPhone, iPad and Android-powered devices before the end of the year. Rockstar has hinted that the original San Andreas and Vice City may also find their way to mobile devices.
