A Game of Cards

Another novel from the creator of Game of Thrones is heading to cinemas.

Author George R.R. Martin’s epic fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire serves as the basis for the hit TV show Game of Thrones. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal Pictures has picked up the big screen rights to Martin’s superhero series Wild Cards. The novels are heavily inspired by comic books, and see the entire human race transformed into super-heroes or super-villains. If the first film is successful, its expected to serve as the basis for an entire series of movies. Martin will serve as executive producer.
