Angry Birds creator Rovio has revealed its next project, but it gets a little confusing.

It’s not an original creation, and will instead be a remake of an existing mobile game titled Casey’s Contraptions. The original launched on the iPad a year ago, and was created by two other developers, Snappy Touch and Mystery Coconut. Rovio has purchased the rights to the game, and is giving it a complete overhaul with new features. The studio plans to reintroduce it with a new title Amazing Alex. The game’s main character was recently featured at the end of a promo video celebrating the 1 billionth download of Angry Birds.

The original Casey’s Contraptions has been pulled from the App Store, and its website now redirects to an Amazing Alex teaser page. Rovio says the new version will arrive soon, but a firm date has not been given.
