The Castlevania series is coming to the 3DS for the first time in the form of an all-new game titled Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate.

According to the latest issue of Nintendo Power magazine (via Go Nintendo), it’s a sequel to the 2010 franchise reboot Lords of Shadow, and will focus heavily on the vampire hunter Trevor Belmont. Players will wield light and shadow magic, and use the Combat Cross as their primary weapon. Secondary weapons include electric bombs and the boomerang-style glaive. Development is being handled by Spanish studio Mercury Steam, which co-developed the original Lords of Shadow game, and also worked on Clive Barker’s Jericho.

There’s no word yet on when Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate will slay the 3DS, but you can expect more details to be unveiled at E3 next week.
