Deadline reports that Steven Spielberg wants Chris Hemsworth to star in his new movie Robopocalypse, based on the best-selling robot novel. If Hemsworth takes the role, he’s going to be busy. The actor is already set to star in the thunderous sequel Thor: The Dark World, not to mention a follow up to Snow White and the Huntsman.
The screenplay for Robopocalypse is being adapted by Cabin in the Woods writer/director Drew Goddard, and like the book, it will tell the story of humanity’s struggle against a robot uprising. It’s scheduled to hit theatres on April 25, 2014.
