Chronicle Sequel Reportedly Moving Forward

Deadline reports that 20th Century Fox is moving forward with the rumoured sequel to the ‘found footage’ style superhero movie Chronicle. It seems the first film’s screenwriter Max Landis is already crafting the story, but there’s no details yet on the plot.

Chronicle follows the story of three teenagers who develop heroic superpowers after finding a mysterious glowing object in the woods. There’s no word if the new movie will continue the same story, or focus on a new group of would-be heroes.

Yesterday, word surfaced that Chronicle director Josh Trank was in talks to helm a new movie starring the Spider-Man villain Venom. He’s also rumoured to be attached to the big screen reboot of the Fantastic Four franchise, so we’ll have to wait and see if he has time for another Chronicle.
