It looks like a movie based on DC’s superhero team The Metal Men is in the works. That’s according to Vulture, which reports that the project is being developed by Men in Black 3 director Barry Sonnenfeld, who’s attached to produce and direct.
The Metal Men is a team of six cyborgs with unique abilities representing six different kinds of metal: Gold, Iron, Lead, Mercury, Tin, and Platinum. The group first hit comics in the 1960s, and recently appeared in the animated movie Justice League: The New Frontier and several episodes of Batman: The Brave and the Bold. There’s no word yet on when we can expect to see the live-action movie.
DC is also rumoured to be working on a big screen Justice League film, following the success of The Avengers from arch-nemesis Marvel. Don’t forget that Batman will return to theatres in The Dark Knight Rises next month, and Superman will be back in Man of Steel next year.
