Here’s a match made in heaven. Deadline reports that Scott Pilgrim director Edgar Wright is teaming up with Star Trek director J.J. Abrams for a new sci-fi movie titled Collider. Wright will helm with Abrams in the producer’s chair, and since Abrams is involved, plot details are being kept secret. Thor co-writer Mark Protosevich is hammering out the script.
There’s no word yet on when Collider will begin shooting, but Edgar Wright is going to be busy. He’s already started work on a new comedy The World’s End with frequent collaborators Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. He’s also attached to direct Ant Man, about the pint-sized Marvel hero.
