Deadline reports that Johnny Depp is set to star in The Grand Budapest Hotel, the next film from Moonrise Kingdom writer/director Wes Anderson. No plot details on the project have been given, but audiences should expect Depp to ham it up with plenty of Anderson’s unique brand of comedy. The filmmaker will create the new film with the same behind the scenes team that worked with him on Moonrise Kingdom.

Johnny Depp will next appear in the big budget cowboy movie The Lone Ranger, which reunites him with Rango director Gore Verbinski. It will ride into cinemas on July 3, 2013.
