Jurassic Park 4 is set to hatch in Summer 2014.
That’s according to the dino franchise’s producer Frank Marshall, who broke the news to Collider. The screenplay is being penned by Rise of the Planet of the Apes screenwriting duo Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. No plot details have been revealed, but audiences should obviously expect it to continue the story of genetically-modified dinosaurs.
Steven Spielberg is serving as producer this time around, but there’s no word on who might take his place in the director’s chair.
Before you start running from Jurassic Park 4, an eye-popping 3D version of the first movie will take a bite out of theatres on July 19, 2013, just in time for the 20th anniversary of the film. Spielberg is overseeing the conversion process, but there’s no word if the sequels, The Lost World and Jurassic Park III, will get the same 3D treatment.
