Electronic Arts has announced Mass Effect Infiltrator, the first entry of the sci-fi series built for iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad. Like the console and PC games, players will get intense third-person shooter combat mixed with epic RPG elements.
The game’s story will focus on a rescue mission, where players must save prisoners from a Cerberus base. Best of all, completing missions will unlock new rewards for Mass Effect 3′s co-op mode. The better you do in the iOS game, the better you’ll do in the PS3, 360 or PC game.
There’s no word yet on when Mass Effect Infiltrator will land on the App Store, but expect it to deploy around the same time Mass Effect 3 hits Earth on March 6.
