May 16 – Rundown – Fable Multiplayer, Modern Warfare 3 DLC – VIDEO

Briana has rumours about multiplayer in Fable, details on the Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #2, and more in the Rundown.

– Channing Tatum (G.I. Joe, 21 Jump Street) is in talks to star in a new action flick called White House Down. It focuses on Tatum as a secret service agent set to protect the President at all costs after the White House is taken over by terrorists. This is the new film from disaster-movie director Roland Emmerich (Day After Tomorrow, 2012), who has already has plenty of experience destroying the White House in Independence Day. Shooting begins later this year, but you can catch Tatum in this summer sequel G.I. Joe: Retalliation.

– July 31 will see the release of a special edition blu-ray for Total Recall. The transfer will be all new, improving upon the 2006 blu-ray and approved by director Paul Verhoeven. There will also be the standard new special features. The disc arrives just days before the new Total Recall reboot arrives in theaters, which stars Colin Farrell and does not take place on Mars. Check out the trailer below.

– Is Fable finally getting true multiplayer? Developer Lionhead Studios is looking for an experienced multiplayer level designer to work on an unannounced game, which has led to speculation that it’s for the next Fable title. There is also the very real possibility that it’s for a completely separate project, but Lionhead has been pretty much Fable-exclusive for the past few years. More details when they arrive, but in the meantime check out our review for the Xbox Live Arcade title (and multiplayer-centric) Fable Heroes! Hopefully the next one will fare better…

– Downloadable Batman-themed shooter Gotham City Impostors is getting a fresh round of free DLC, this time in the form of a new map. The map will be called Arkham Asylum, and will be based on the outside areas of Gotham’s institution for the criminally insane. If you’re looking for more Batman DLC, the Harley Quinn’s revenge pack will be available for Arkham City on May 29.

– The last round of DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2 has arrived. The two new single player episodes, titles Perpetual Battlefield and Lightning’s Story: Requiem of the Goddess are now available for PS3 and Xbox 360. They both continue the story from the main game, as well as fill in some of the plot that bridges FF XIII and XIII-2. You can also download new costumes for the characters in your party.

– The new content collection for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has arrived on Xbox 360, for people who aren’t subscribed to CoD: Elite. The collection offers a new mode, Face Off, which is designed specifically with 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 battles in mind. Also included is two maps for Face Off mode, three maps for Survival mode, as well as two new Spec Ops missions. The collection will hit PS3 soon, as well as much more DLC for Modern Warfare 3 to keep you busy until November 13’s release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
