Keep your 3DS handy, because Nintendo has announced New Super Mario Bros. 2, the third instalment of the series. Like the DS and Wii games, the new adventure will offer plenty of side-scrolling action with your favourite plumber and all of his co-stars from the Mushroom Kingdom. It’s slated to arrive this August, and don’t forget that Nintendo is working on another, unannounced Mario game for the Wii U.

If that wasn’t enough Nintendo action for you, the gaming giant has also announced a Kirby compilation for the Wii, in honour of the hungry pink ball’s 20th anniversary. It’ll offer a variety of existing Kirby games, but Nintendo hasn’t given a precise list. You’ll be able to devour the Kirby compilation later this year.
