New Portal 2 DLC Arrives May 8, Half-Life 3 Does Not

We’re still waiting for Valve to actually make Half-Life 3, but in the meantime, the studio will release a new round of free downloadable content for Portal 2. It’s known as the Perpetual Testing Initiative, and will give players a simplified way to create their own mind-bending puzzles without leaving the game, and then publish them online. Other users will be able to play and rate your levels, and provide helpful feedback.

The Perpetual Testing Initiative DLC will be available for the PC and Mac on May 8, and there’s no word if it’ll be available on the PS3 or Xbox 360. Valve is also working on Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, due to deploy this summer. The studio has long been working on the next Half-Life game, and we’re getting tired of waiting.
