UPDATE: Publisher Bethesda Softworks has made the news official, but hasn’t provided any new details other than a single still that shows off the game’s environments.
Andriasang and Japanese magazine Famitsu report that Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami is working on a new project, codenamed Zwei. Few details are known, but it’s described as a survival horror title similar to the Resident Evil series. It’ll also be the first project from Mikami’s newly-formed studio Tango Gameworks, a subsidiary of Skyrim maker Bethesda Softworks.
Zwei is still in the early stages of development, so there’s no word yet on a release window. Mikiami expects it to be available on HD consoles like the PS3 and Xbox 360, but nothing has been finalized.
