Sony has long been interested in turning the classic PS2 game Shadow Of The Colossus into a movie. Now, Deadline reports that Chronicle director Josh Trank has signed onto helm the project, which will be a live-action movie with a big Hollywood-style budget. Hopefully it will get the respect it deserves, because Trank is a big fan of the video game.
This isn’t the only new movie for Josh Trank. He’s also attached to a reboot of the Fantastic Four franchise, along with a Spider-Man spin-off focusing on the gooey villain Venom, not to mention a movie based on the comic book The Red Star. And if that wasn’t enough, a Chronicle sequel is also on the way. It remains to be seen if he’ll have time for all of those films now that he’s signed onto Shadow Of The Colossus.
