After weeks of rumours, EA has officially unveiled the next SimCity game, simply titled SimCity. It’s billed as a fresh reboot for the franchise, and features a new engine that will make things more realistic than ever before. Players will be able to zoom in right down to street level, and examine the day to day lives of their citizens.

The new SimCity will be the first game in the series to feature online multiplayer. Your city can work together with the cities built by your friends, or they can compete against each other for natural resources and jobs. Decisions made in one city will have repercussions across the entire online Sim world.

SimCity is slated to hit the PC in 2013.
