Sega has announced an all-new crossover racer, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, a follow up to the 2010 game Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing.
This time around, all players will be able to take control of cars, planes, and boats, and each vehicle can transform on the fly depending on the terrain. If the road falls away beneath you in the middle of a race, your vehicle will automatically turn into a boat or plane. As for racers, familiar Sega favourites like Sonic and Dr. Eggman will be back, along with newcomers like Gilius Thunderhead of Golden Axe, and Vyse of Skies of Arcadia. Available tracks will include Super Monkey Ball’s Temple Trouble, the Panzer Dragoon inspired Dragon Canyon, and even a track based on Jet Set Radio Future.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will cross the finish line in late 2012. It’ll be available on the Xbox 360, PS3,Vita, 3DS, and PC.
Sega has also announced that aspiring artists can compete for a chance to get their artwork into the track inspired by Jet Set Radio Future. You can find out more details on that by clicking here.
