Get ready for Verticus, an iOS game from comic book legend Stan Lee. Players take the role of a futuristic superhero armed with a high tech orbital jump suit, and must save Earth from an evil alien race known as The Obliterators. Stan Lee created all the game’s characters and helped shape the story, and if you watch the trailer above, you’ll notice that he also serves as the game’s narrator.

The gameplay revolves around free-falling, with players dodging obstacles and collecting items as they make their way to the surface of our planet. It appears to use the iPhone and iPad’s built-in accelerometer.

Verticus will be available in the App Store later this year, although a precise release date has not been given.
