ORIGINAL STORY:

The public beta test for the third-person, sci-fi shooter Starhawk will begin rolling out next week.

Starting Tuesday, January 17th, users with a paid PlayStation Plus subscription can get in. Testers will have access to the game’s online multiplayer mode, but not the solo story campaign.

On January 31st, anyone who picked up a special voucher included in new copies of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception will be able to enter the beta.

Finally, on February 21st, the ‘public’ beta will become truly public, because that’s when everyone can get in. The beta will end sometime after that, but a firm date has not been set. The full version of Starhawk will land on the PS3 later this year.
