The first casting details on 300: Battle of Artemisia have come in.
The New York Magazine reports that Warrior star Joel Edgerton is in talks to play the lead warrior in the new movie. He’ll play a new character, taking over from the last film’s star, Gerard Butler. The 300 sequel will take place several years after the original, and is loosely based on real historical events. The first film’s director Zack Snyder is sitting in the producer’s chair.
