Harry Potter fans take note: the 2011 Quidditch World Cup is about to kick off.
It’s a live sporting event based on the magical game from the Harry Potter books and movies. The rules have been slightly altered so that Muggles, or those without magical powers, can still compete. 2,000 athletes from 95 college teams across North America will compete in the 2011 Quidditch World Cup, making it the largest display of real-life quidditch ever. It takes place November 12th and 13th in New York City. The latest Harry Potter film, The Deathly Hallows: Part 2, will cast a spell on Blu-ray on November 11th.
