Developer Rovio Entertainment has announced that the insanely-successful Angry Birds series is getting a spin-off. It’s titled Bad Piggies, and as you may have guessed, will focus on the annoying, egg-stealing green pigs and finally explore their side of the story. This will be the first time players will get to take the role of the swindling swine.

Rovio promises that the gameplay of Bad Piggies will be very different from the slingshot-style of Angry Birds, but hasn’t said what it will be, and there are no hints in the trailer above. Perhaps it will be a construction game, where players build forts to hold back the furious fowl. We’ll find out sometime before the game launches on September 27. It’ll be available on iOS and Android devices, along with Mac computers. Windows Phone and PC versions will follow shortly after that.
