Deadline reports that Sony Pictures, the studio behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula, is working on a new film about the Transylvanian blood sucker. This one will be a new story that takes place in the 15th century, and show how the young Dracula originally became a vampire back when he was known as Vlad the Impaler.
The project is based on a treatment penned by Jason Keller, the screenwriter behind Machine Gun Preacher and the upcoming fantasy film Mirror Mirror.
