Variety reports that Channing Tatum is in talks to star in a new action movie titled White House Down from director Roland Emmerich. The film will focus on a terrorist takeover of the executive mansion, and, like Emmerich’s previous films, expect to see it completely destroyed. Tatum will play a Secret Service agent who must protect the president at all costs.
White House Down is expected to begin shooting later this year. Audiences can next catch Channing Tatum in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which opens on June 29.
