Variety reports that Chronicle’s psychokinetic star Alex Russell is in talks to join the cast of the Carrie remake. He’ll play one of the high school kids who bullies the psychokinetic girl, and pushes her to the edge on the night of her prom. Kick-Ass superhero Chloe Moretz is already set to play the lead, with Julianne Moore as her insanely religious mother.

The new Carrie will begin shooting soon, and spill blood on audiences in March 2013.
