It figures that some of the first big news out of San Diego Comic-Con 2012 revolves around the most-hyped superhero game of E3 this year. Speaking of which, it’s just been confirmed that Injustice: Gods Among Us will feature two former members of the Teen Titans, in their most famous incarnations.
According to the Verge, Nightwing and Cyborg are the two newest additions to the fighting game roster, both exhibiting combat styles very much in tune to their comic book counterparts. Both seem tailored after the more well-known, classic versions of their respective characters, in current DC continuity, Dick Grayson was formerly taking on the role of Gotham City’s Batman in Batman Incorporated before being retconned in the recent Flashpoint story arc.
Nightwing’s staff gives him a long, sweeping range, and can reportedly be broken up into his two trademark escrima sticks. Doing so cuts his range down, but he’s much quicker and more agile as a result.
Cyborg is the opposite, with strong melee attacks and long-range projectile weaponry. It also sounds like he’s custom built for griefing opponents, as he can recharge his health while pecking away with lasers and missile fire.
