F1 2012 developer Codemasters is working on a cute and cuddly kart racing game based on the Formula 1 franchise, titled F1 Race Stars.

It promises arcade-style action with cars, teams, and circuits based on real Formula 1 racing. There will be a career mode, along with 4-player split screen and 12-player online multiplayer. Judging by the trailer above, players can expect the tracks to change in zany ways in the middle of a race. The trailer also features cartoony versions of real-life drivers Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel.

F1 Race Stars will cross the finish line this November, and is being developed for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. If you’re looking for something a little more realistic, F1 2012 will arrive in September.
