Variety reports that Battle: Los Angeles and Wrath of the Titans director Jonathan Liebesman is in final talks to helm the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. It’s billed as a live-action reboot of the anthropomorphic franchise in a half-shell, which has already served as the basis for countless movies, TV shows, comics and toys.
Michael Bay is producing the new Turtles movie, having previously worked with Jonathan Liebesman on the critically-panned horror movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Since Bay is involved, don’t be surprised if there are more than a few explosions.
Jonathan Liebesman’s Wrath of the Titans will smash into theatres on March 30.
