During Sony’s Gamescom 2012 keynote yesterday, the published showed off Rain, a stylish new adventure game coming from Sony Japan Studio.

Though what we got was little more than a tease, I’m already very interested in seeing more about this project. In Rain, one day a young boy notices the silhouette of a girl walking in the rain. Then, he awakens to find himself trapped in a strange world, where now he too can only be seen when covered by raindrops.

From the short bit of gameplay we’re shown, it’s not hart to guess that Rain will be based around exploration, puzzle solving, and some fashion of dealing with what look like creatures of some sort. Rain‘s trailer gives off a moody, atmospheric feeling, one that could serve as a very interesting setting for a game if used properly.
