THE BUZZ: In the wake of Battlefield 3‘s release, a number of issues big and small have been cropping up as players dig deep into its offerings. One of the problems being reported centers around issues with controller lag for the PlayStation 3 version of the game?and, at least for now, there might be a temporary solution.
On Twitter, DICE’s Alan Kertz told fellow Twitter user gt757ob that he was “on crack” for mentioning that Battlefield 3‘s controls were a “sloppy mess” on the PS3. The conversation between them continues?now, however, things seem a little more civil, and Kertz is acknowledging that there does indeed seem to be some problems of that sort.
Just a short while ago, Kertz posted the following response:
“Can you try setting your ps3 resolution down a bit? Someone was reporting that fixed it for them… Obviously not a perm solution”
EGM’s TAKE: As Kertz says, this is obviously not a long-term solution to the issues that PS3 owners seem to be experiencing. If you’re playing the PS3 version of the game, you might give this solution a try. Whatever the real cause of the control problems is, hopefully the team at DICE can find it soon so that those playing Battlefield 3 on a PS3 can enjoy the game the way it was intended.
