J.J. Abrams’ Alcatraz Cancelled

The new J.J. Abrams TV series Alcatraz has been cancelled, and will not be back for a second season. The show explored supernatural events surrounding the island prison, but failed to generate a large enough audience to stay on the mainland. The show completed its 13 episode run back in March.
Fans of J.J. Abrams will be happy to know that one of his other shows, Fringe, will be around for another year. He has several other small screen projects in the works, not to mention a big screen sequel to Star Trek.
