Variety reports that a prequel to Quentin Tarantino’s crime caper Jackie Brown is in the works.
It comes in the form of a big screen adaptation of the Elmore Leonard novel Switch, which is a prequel to the same novel upon which Jackie Brown is based. The book features younger versions of the characters played by Samuel L. Jackson and Robert De Niro, and this time around, they’ll be played by Mos Def and Martha Marcy May Marlene co-star John Hawkes.
Quentin Tarantino is not expected to be involved in the new film. He’s currently working on the spaghetti western Django Unchained, which will shoot up cinemas before the end of the year.
