It looks like there’s finally a victor in the long fight for the role of Johanna Mason in The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire. Many different actresses had been rumoured to be competing for the role, and now according to The Hollywood Reporter, it’s gone to Sucker Punch co-star Jena Malone.
The character of Johanna Mason is a deadly tribute who is first introduced in the second Hunger Games book, and goes onto play an important part in the third novel, Mockingjay. Catching Fire will begin shooting this fall, and continue the games in theatres on November 22, 2013.
