Deadline reports that Jim Carrey might appear in Kick-Ass 2: Balls To The Wall. The producers apparently want him to play The Colonel, a small but important character who unites the film’s other wannabe superheroes into a vigilante team. Kick-Ass himself Aaron Johnson and Hit Girl Chloe Moretz are already set to reprise their roles, and Scrubs star Donald Faison is rumoured to be playing a new super anti-hero known as Dr. Gravity. Christopher Mintz-Plasse will be back as the villain Red Mist.

Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall will begin shooting this fall, and will splatter theatres next year. It’s being helmed by Never Back Down director Jeff Wadlow, with the first film’s director Matthew Vaughn serving as producer alongside comic creator Mark Millar.
