The 2010 Swedish suspense thriller Easy Money, also known as Snabba Cash, is finally coming to North America. It’ll get a limited theatrical run that begins rolling out next month, with distribution being handled by The Weinstein Company. Acclaimed filmmaker Martin Scorsese is adding his name to the poster as a ‘Presenter’.
Easy Money stars The Killing’s Joel Kinnaman as a business student lured into the world of drug trafficking and organized crime. It’s directed by Daniel Espinosa, a filmmaker who recently made his English-language debut with the Denzel Washington thriller Safe House.
A sequel to Easy Money is also in the works, and will debut in Sweden later this year. There’s no word yet if it will also get a North American release.
