Fans of the 2010 super anti-hero movie Kick-Ass have been anxiously awaiting a sequel, and now it looks like it’s finally happening.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that filmmaker Jeff Wadlow, the director of the 2008 MMA movie Never Back Down, is set to helm Kick-Ass 2. The film is being produced by comic book creator Mark Millar and the original film’s director Matthew Vaughn, who’s too busy making a sequel to X-Men: First Class to helm.
The original Kick-Ass cast members are expected to return. Shooting will begin this fall, with a release slated for next year.
