Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut Release Date, New Details


For those of you unhappy with the ending to Mass Effect 3, BioWare’s apology is almost here. Today, the developer announced the released date for the free Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC, as well as an audio interview talking about the additions players will be getting.

According to the announcement today, “the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC is a downloadable content pack that will expand upon the events at the end of Mass Effect 3. Through additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes, the Extended Cut will include deeper insight to Commander Shepard’s journey based on player choices during the war against the Reapers.”

Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut will be a free download for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC players. All platforms will get the DLC on June 26th in North America; worldwide, the Xbox 360 and PC versions will hit on June 26th, while the PS3 version will come on July 4th. The full download size for the Extended Cut will be 1.9GB.
