Rockstar Games is teaming up with Marvel to create a 3-part comic based on Max Payne 3. It’s being penned by Rockstar’s Dan Houser and Max Payne creator Sam Lake, and will take place between the events of Max Payne 2 and 3, delving deeper into the gritty detective’s troubled past. Artwork is being done by Greg Horn and Fernando Blanco, who’ve worked on Marvel books like Captain America, Iron Man, and Hulk.
The first issue of the Max Payne 3 comic series will be free, and is slated to arrive sometime in the next few weeks on the official Max Payne 3 website, along with the usual digital comic distribution services. Max Payne 3, the game, will hit the streets on May 15.
