Kojima Productions has finally announced the next adventure of Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, offering open-world gameplay that runs on the developer’s new Fox Engine. A twenty minute gameplay demo was shown off at the Metal Gear 25th Anniversary event in Tokyo, which showed players sneaking into a remote and rainy military base. According to GameSpot, the demo had a distinct “sandbox, open-world vibe”, and the base felt expansive and huge with many different ways in. Players will also be able to take control of vehicles, and call in helicopters for reinforcement.
Expect more details on Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes to be unveiled soon. Don’t forget that the franchise is also getting a spin-off, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, which will focus on the electrifying ninja Raiden. Expect that next year.
