Monster Hunter 4 Hits 3DS In Spring 2013

Capcom Japan has officially announced that Monster Hunter 4 will be releasing in 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS, unveiling a new trailer to boot.

Initially revealed at a “Game Jam” event in Japan, the trailer is now viewable on Capcom’s official YouTube account. In addition to several new and returning monsters, the video shows a heavy amount of gameplay and cinematics.

Monster Hunter 4 was confirmed by Capcom earlier last year along with Monster Hunter Tri G, an Japanese 3DS exclusive expansion of the critically acclaimed Monster Hunter Tri for the Nintendo Wii. Infamously, Tri G‘s control scheme required players to purchase the Nintendo Circle Pad Pro add-on accessory, due to the system’s lack of a second built-in analog pad.

It remains to be seen if Monster Hunter 4 will get a stateside release, as Tri G was never localized outside of Japan.
