Netflix has announced that it streamed more than 1 billion hours of content to subscribers in June, marking the first time that it’s broken that record in a single month.

The company promises that its popularity will go up next year with the debut of two exclusive shows. One is a political thriller from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo director David Fincher, titled House of Cards. The other is the return of the cult comedy series Arrested Development.
