My Xbox Live App Adds More iPad Support

It’s not going to be too long before Microsoft successfully pushes Xbox Live onto every mobile device and entertainment center in America, and the most recent push has claimed land on the iPad. With the new version 1.6 update, Apple’s tablet device now supports the app, along with a small handful of bug fixes.

When you think about it, it’s kind of weird, a Microsoft product specifically designed and built for an Apple device. But then again, that’s pretty much been what Microsoft Office has been doing on the side for ages, so there’s that.

Just like the iPhone and Android app, the iPad version allows you to do pretty much anything with your Xbox Live account that you’d do if you were sitting in front of your Xbox 360, short of playing games and watching videos. With the mobile app running, you can remotely boot up different media, track your Achievements, and curate your friends list for extra space.

My Xbox Live 1.6 is available for download at the App Store link right now, so you can give it a whirl and leave a customer review. Man, that SmartGlass update can’t come soon enough.
