OmegaDR has defeated Akire to become the winner of Namco Bandai’s SoulCalibur V World Championship.
The championship tournament was held before a rowdy crowd at the Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas. Using Nightmare, OmegaDR defeated player Akire, who was controlling Mitsurugi, after a series of lively back and forth matches.
OmegaDR, who hails from the Dominican Republic, was presented with a cheque for $7000 by SoulCalibur V Game Director Daishi Odashima.
The entire tournament, which featured players from as far as Japan and France, can be seen on own3d.tv.
