Fringe co-creators Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman are creating a new TV series based on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, the spooky 19th century short story by author Washington Irving. The story has already served as the inspiration for a Disney cartoon and Tim Burton movie, and the TV series will see the school teacher Ichabod Crane join forces with the creepy town’s sheriff to solve mysteries.
Orci and Kurtzman aren’t going it alone. Total Recall director Len Wiseman is set to produce, and he’ll also helm the pilot episode. Fringe network Fox has already picked up the rights to the show.
