UPDATE: IMAX has provided a list of participating theatres, which you can find by clicking here. It looks like all of them are in the US, so any Canadian Indy fans will have to take a drive across the border to see it.
ORIGINAL STORY:
The very first Indiana Jones movie Raiders of the Lost Ark will hit IMAX theatres for one week only starting September 7, just in time for its Blu-ray debut on September 18. The film was remastered in 4K resolution from the original camera negatives, so it will look better than ever, especially when projected onto a jumbo-sized screen. The restoration process was overseen by director Steven Spielberg and sound designer Ben Burtt. Expect a full list of participating IMAX venues soon.
The complete Indiana Jones Blu-ray set will include all four movies, and you won’t be able to buy them individually. Yes, that means if you want the three good ones, you’ll have to buy the critically-panned fourth film too. There will also be plenty of new behind the scenes content for fans to discover.
