A video suggesting that Final Fantasy Versus XIII has been rebranded as Final Fantasy XV has appeared online.

The video shows a trailer for Versus XIII, and at the end a logo for Final Fantasy XV is displayed. It also mentions that the game will be coming to PlayStation 3 and Wii U, but there is no mention of the Xbox 360. This video was apparently taken at a pre-E3 Square-Enix briefing.

Square has been incredibly quiet about Versus XIII for some time, with no solid release date and little information about the title, it’s difficult to guess exactly what is going on. The radio silence could point to a rebranding as the team would need to rework several aspects to change it from a spin-off. If this is fake then it means we will be waiting at least three to four years for Final Fantasy XV, and that really seems like a long wait to us.
