Spielberg Confirms Tintin Sequel – NEWS

Speaking with Total Film, Steven Spielberg confirmed that he and Peter Jackson are moving forward with their plans to create a sequel to the performance-capture blockbuster The Adventures of Tintin. The next movie will see the two filmmakers switch jobs, with Jackson directing and Spielberg in the producer’s chair.

There’s no word yet on what Tintin book (or books) the new movie will be based on. Steven Spielberg has refused to say.

We may be waiting a while for the new Tintin adventure, because Spielberg says that Jackson won’t begin shooting it until he’s finished production his two Hobbit movies. The first, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, takes audiences back to Middle-earth on December 14. The second, titled The Hobbit: There and Back Again, is scheduled to arrive on December 13, 2013.
