Don’t expect the USS Enterprise to warp back into cinemas next year.
The next Star Trek movie was originally set for release on June 29th, 2012. Many fans were worried that it would be delayed, and now Paramount Pictures has confirmed those fears. Speaking with investors, the studio revealed that the sequel is now slated for release sometime in 2013, but no firm date has been announced. J.J. Abrams will once again helm. There’s still no word on a title for the new Trek film or any plot details, but we’ll let you know if we pick anything up on the subspace channels.
