Steven Spielberg and his DreamWorks Studios have picked up the rights to remake the French Canadian comedy Starbuck. The original follows a middle-aged slacker who finds out that he’s fathered 533 children through a single sperm donation, and it was a big hit at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. The American remake will be produced by Spielberg, with original director Ken Scott once again at the helm.
Shooting is scheduled to begin this fall, and fans will be happy to know that a Bollywood version of Starbuck is also on the way.
